Some wedding weekends are so full of meaning, you can feel it in the air. Claire and Santiago’s intimate Fredericksburg wedding was one of those rare celebrations—unrushed, heartfelt, and overflowing with intention.
Instead of a packed itinerary or elaborate plans, they chose something quieter. Something deeper. They invited their closest loved ones to join them for a relaxed weekend in Fredericksburg, Texas, and we all rented a cozy Airbnb where everyone could stay under one roof. It was the kind of weekend that reminded everyone how beautiful simplicity can be.
From the moment the weekend began, there was joy in every detail. The kids splashed for hours in the pool while the guys grilled steaks for dinner. Rather than dining out, everyone stayed in, soaking up quality time that felt increasingly rare in today’s world.
Claire, radiant and effortlessly elegant, wore a vintage lace gown and headpiece she discovered at Goodwill for just $70. Her bouquet, designed by Lauren with LaBoutique Florals, was a breathtaking mix of color and texture—lush dahlias, delicate orchids, soft peonies, and cascading greenery that perfectly matched the laid-back, romantic feel of the day.

Their ceremony took place at the historic Fredericksburg courthouse (currently the Pioneer Memorial Library), a timeless backdrop that holds special significance. Exactly 32 years and one month earlier, my parents exchanged their vows in the very same spot, 3 months before I made my way into this world. That moment of generational love made the day feel even more sacred.

Because family came first that day, I asked Kaycee with Candid Bliss Photography to capture the ceremony so the rest of us—including myself—could be fully present. It was a gift I’ll never forget.
While I adore grand, high-energy wedding days, weekends like this one hold a special place in my heart. There’s something sacred about stripping everything back to what matters most. No pressure. No timeline stress. Just the people who know you best, gathered to celebrate something real.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s rich in feeling, full of intention, and grounded in love, let this intimate Fredericksburg wedding be your inspiration. Because sometimes, the most meaningful celebrations are the ones that feel just like home.
