Allie and Brock’s downtown San Antonio engagement session was so dreamy! When Allie came to me with her inspo, I knew exactly where we had to go. She wanted a downtown session with a luxury element to it, and the St. Anthony Hotel in Downtown San Antonio fit the vibe perfectly.
We started by walking down past the St. Anthony to the Home 2 Suites on Navarro to use their gorgeous black granite exterior as our first backdrop, and warm up a little. Then we moseyed our way into the St. Anthony, and strolled through their impeccably decorated lobby. Next we hopped into their gorgeous golden elevators to capture a few flashy, steamy moments. We finished our downtown San Antonio engagement session at the St. Mary’s Parking Garage rooftop where we popped a bottle of champagne and captured a few more editorial and candid shots.
After our champagne pop, we went to her family homeplace to capture some sunset field photos. We were even able to borrow her neighbor’s vintage Fairlane for a few shots! Talk about romantic! We also couldn’t resist getting a few photos in with their new puppy Rip! We kept finding new gorgeous backdrops everywhere we turned and ended up shooting well into blue hour. It made the mood so moody and romantic.
It was so fun running around and getting to know them all afternoon. It’s honestly my favorite part about engagement sessions, and why they normally last 2+ hours. It’s so important for us to get to know each other before the wedding day.
