One of my favorite ways to start a wedding day is with detail photos! There’s something special about being able to showcase the style and vibe of your wedding.
You’ve probably spent hours carefully picking the various details of your wedding, and I enjoy photographing them as part of your day’s story! After greeting you, I will begin taking detail photographs while your hair and makeup are being done.
To save time, I suggest gathering the items in a box the day before. With the exception of your dress, veil, shoes, and the flowers that your florist will deliver, these items should all fit easily into one box or container. This is the easiest way to collect your wedding day detail photo items! That way, you only need to make sure your “detail box” is with you, versus all these odds and ends. Doing this also allows your photo team to start right on time, versus needing to begin the day with a search for each of these items.
QUICK TIP: If you want clutter-free images, designate a room at the venue or a section of a room as the “bag area” and keep most of your belongings there.
You’ll have enough to think about leading up to the wedding day, so I’ve compiled a list of must have details to include.
